'Ello, 'ello, 'ello! What do we 'ave 'ere then? A visitor to our Nick? Heads up, eyes bright! We're on parade folks.

Here we are, the lovely lassies and lads of the FBI Immortals, ready for inspection. Be kind with your thoughts - we're a nice bunch really.

Name: Avon
Rank: DCI, FBI Agent 1 aka our Fearless Leader
Joined up because: Burnside deserves a fan group. Why? Because he has a singular view of human nature, because he is a strawberry cream - hard on the outside and soft and sweet on the inside, because John Boulton reminds him of himself and because no-one has better lines, better delivered.
Favourite Burnside moment: Burnside in a darkening CID office putting Viv’s life in a paper bag.
About: Born and bred Sydneysider but in many ways I’m half English due to having spent my entire childhood with my nose in an English book. I teach for both love and pay, write for love (but it would be for pay if someone would just buy something), and am a frustrated actor and swimmer. I love Burnside, Boulton, Loxton and Greig, The Bill, hanging on the Forum, shortbread, Blake’s 7, autumn leaves and travelling. I hate prejudice, inequality, injustice, most of the current government’s education policies and people who cut their toenails on trains. Ambitions:  To one day own a computer, preferably with Internet access.
Other: Personal philosophies vary wildly and widely but three of my favourites are:
Get over it.
Never give up!
Never surrender!
If you do nothing else today - change the world.
Name: Anna
Rank: DI, FBI Agent 2 and Web Fairy
Joined up because: The eyes made me do it.
Favourite Burnside moment: When Burnside *thwacked* Bolts a back-hander in Cast No Shadow. Pure brilliance.
About: Lives - Sydney. Does - scribbles, when I can be bothered or threatened with the sack. Loves - *sooo* many things, people and places.
Other: My least favourite moment in Burnside history deserves a mention. Burnside in a terry-towelling bathrobe. *shudder* Need I say more? No, but I will anyway...I love rollerskating!
Name: Moz
Rank: DS, FBI Agent 3
Joined up because: Frank Burnside has to be the most enigmatic, magnetic, alluring (those eyes!), clever, funny and good detective that has ever set foot in Sun Hill, even though many have tried to prove him otherwise. He's a survivor and keeps getting better. There are few people who can fill a room by just entering it...and Frank is one of them. He's superb!
Favourite Burnside moment: Although I can think of many, one stands out and that was when Frank shoved some guy's head down a toilet with Jim Carver watching the door, looking decidedly uncomfortable. Later in the car Frank explains to Jim that what the public want is a bit of muscle...oh yeh baby!
About: Originally from England I have lived in Oz for twenty-four years. I work at a busy reception in a hotel in Canberra. I have a hubby and two kids, 14 and 10. I love jazz especially swing/big band and I love to read and watch telly and surf the net. My favourite food is Italian. I'm a bit of a lounge lizard but like to go for a walk up Mount Taylor (at the back of our place) a couple of times a week. I love British telly especially Dinnerladies, The Royle Family and The Bill of course and I've seen Burnside and loved it...well of course! I am also a big fan of the US series Seinfeld.
Other: Chris Ellison and my husband share the same birthday 16 December and I grew up in Brighton. Coincidence?
Name: Governor
Rank: DC, FBI Agent 4, Chief Buyer of Drinks
Joined up because: The FBI has such an awesome sign-off! You're nicked - You slaaag!!! More importantly, as Agent #4 I get a chance to inflict my terrible written creations on all those who visit The Burnside Files. Mwahaha!
Favourite Burnside moment: When Burnside accepts Roach's warrant card and lets him leave the station in Punch Drunk despite Brownlow's strict orders to the contrary.
About: For some unfathomable reason I decided to do a Journalism degree after leaving school so I am currently making a living as a Journalism student in Brisbane. My working career consists of running the House Shop back at school (quite fun actually) and writing the stars for the school newspaper (even more fun) with the occasional article on the side. I love The Bill, tennis, bushwalking, chess, UKTV, fantasy and science fiction novels, Kahlua, computer games, debating, potato salad with garlic prawns (try it!) and most of all the delightful Polly Page... My taste in music is far too sad to ever make public. I try not to hate things but I can't stand oppression, racism, sexism, prejudice or a certain individual from high school who will remain nameless for fear of defamation lawsuits. My long term ambition is to stop governments and companies from exploiting people and the environment out of pure greed. In the short term, I'll settle for a bottle of Kahlua, a comfy seat and a nice long episode of The Bill.
Other: I have a morbid fear of telephones - Don't ask me why!
Name: Kristie
Rank: DC, FBI Agent 5
Joined up because: Burnside gets my admiration for doing what he wants, when he wants. I'll worship that anytime!!!
Favourite Burnside
moment:
Well I could say everytime he walks onto the screen but I love old Tommy Burnside in Funny Ol' Business - Cops and Robbers. Cracks me up everytime.
About: Well I'm 15 and I live outside of Brisbane. I like watching TV, surfing the net, reading and hanging out with my friends. My favourite characters on The Bill are Sam Harker, Kerry Holmes and of course Frank Burnside. I collect Snoopy and Garfield stuff as well. I also have a website which is http://kristieg.cjb.net.
Other: I really, really don't like Smurfs. Ughhh!!!
Name: Jaye
Rank: DC, FBI Agent 6
Joined up because: I think DCI Frank Burnside is one cool guy – although he can be mean, moody and magnificent, he has the capacity for kindness too. He has an amazing screen presence, an aura of confidence and I really like his wry humour.
Favourite Burnside
moment:
Well I hate to be unoriginal but yeah, the sudden backhanded THWACK he gave Boulton in Cast No Shadow!
About: Um, where to start… I live in London which is nice except for the weather (you know we Brits have to mention that!). I think The Bill is brill and CID was my favourite but not so sure now - gotta give the new guys some time! Best characters – well… Burnside (for magnetism and humour), Boulton (for being sooo cute/sexy), Deakin (his easy going nature/humour), Meadows (lovely Yorkie accent), Lennox (dunno what it is really but like the Scots accent too).
Other: Am waiting for the development of s-l-o-w chat, being seriously technically challenged!!!
Name: Kacey
Rank: DC, FBI Agent 7
Joined up because: Burnside is an amazing character - I can't help but love him! I'm thankful that my Mum watched The Bill because I might have been afraid of him as a kid if I hadn't known she liked him. Instead I was in awe of him. Now I think he's brilliant. He's charming, oddly graceful, he's got a great sense of humour and reality, he's persistant and committed, admirable and loveable, a real character with presence and performance, a great man and a great officer. I'm too young to admit this but he's also dead sexy!
Favourite Burnside
moment:
Awww just one? Him and Viv were brill and the return eps had some great stuff. For something different and a laugh I'll admit I loved him walking in on Kerry in the locker room in Hot Money! The 'Startled Fawn' was ever so suitably and pleasantly startled and Frank was just, well Frank!
About: I'm a 16 year old (female) Australian. I've grown up watching The Bill (I still miss Suzie!) and it's my favourite TV program. I'm a senior high school student and my favourite subjects are Sociology, Legal Studies, English and Ancient History. I plan on going to Uni in 2002. I like writing, reading and having fun. I write some The Bill fan fiction in my spare time. I'm happy (I love to *grin*), neurotic, slightly eccentric, friendly and funny (some say peculiar, some say ha ha!). My favourite The Bill characters are: Burnside, of course, John, Matt, Smiffy, Tom, Danny, Claire, Cass, June, Di, Bob... Loves: Having fun, being happy and the things that are part of that. My family, especially my Mum, Dad, Grams, Gramps, my five favourite cousins, and my pets. The Bill and my favourite characters - yes it's fiction but I'm a strong believer in the value of fiction! Creativity - I appreciate fiction  including some TV shows (M*A*S*H, Red Dwarf, Unfinished Business, SeaChange, anything that moves me or makes me laugh), books (from Our Mutual Friend by Charles Dickens to Rock 'n' Roll Babes from Outta Space by Linda Jarvin, and Shakespeare's A Mid Summer Night's Dream - a play but none the less - somewhere in between), movies, music (from Nirvana to Beach Boys), and art (including Monet).  Life's little luxuries like sleeping in or staying up late (preferably both), banana and mango smoothies, mochachinos and chocolate. Raving about the things I love!
Hates: Avon's list is pretty good, I'll add my pet hates like: getting sand in my eyebrows or ears, food caught in my teeth, Nurse Jenny, and other forms of irritation.
Other: *grin* You're nicked you slaaag!
Name: My professional name is Manuela Consuela Esperiti Del Florenzo but you may call me 'Bob'
Rank: Well, yes, I am a bit on the nose now you mention it. Blame it on those spicy Spanish sausages I had for breakfast.
Joined up because: After slipping a disc during a Macarena class, my career choices were limited. What else was an out-of-work tranvestite Spanish dancer to do, eh?
Favourite Burnside moment: Without a doubt that would have to be when José flung me across the dance floor during the Free Latin final at the Ballarat Ballroom Dance Championships. We were so on that night! And my love-handles didn't need waxing for a month!
About: Oh okay...I'll be serious.. *rolls eyes* if I have to. Agent No. 8 decided not to pursue a career as an FBI Agent.
Other: Guy Pearce's role in Priscilla should've been mine. That man does not know how to work thongs and glitter simultaneously!
Name: CC2000
Rank: DC, FBI Agent 9
Joined up because: Why I like Burnside - It's his sense of humour and one-liners. He's also confident, independent and doesn't let other people make decisions for him.
Favourite Burnside
moment:
When he tells Kerry about the raincoat and hooker!
About: I'm seventeen, ambitious, determined, both shy and confident, independent and have a weird sense of humour. My favourite actress is Caroline Catz (which is sort of obvious from my webpage). I started watching TB after I saw the Santini/Fox storyline and two months later had a full-on crush on PC Eddie Santini. I want to join the Police Force after I've been to university.
Other: Likes - Sarcasm, irony, and most strange senses of humour.
Michael Higgs/Eddie Santini - I have a thing for dark, tall, handsome men in their thirties who are outgoing and fun.
Chinese/Cantonese/Oriental food (but I'm vegetarian which makes it awkward in restaurants).
Mottos - Enjoy your life. Don't live it for everyone-else, they have their own. And a quote from Buffy The Vampire Slayer - Live for the moment - tomorrow you could be dead!
Name: Sophie
Rank: DC, FBI Agent 10
[Miss Sophie tapped out her answers in Morse Code while under the Cone of Silence. At least, we think it was Sophie; it could just as well have been possums under there.]
Joined up because: "You're nicked, you slaaag!" is the ultimate sign-off, natch.
Favourite Burnside
moment:
We'd like to see a wider variety of fresh fruit in the kitchen. Sure we like bananas but couldn't you occasionally leave us out some nectarines and mangos to munch on? Oh so sweet.
About: Sophie hails from England where she's currently attending high school.
Other: Can someone please let me out? The possums are starting to bite!
Name: Jamaica Lane
Rank: DC, FBI Agent 11
Joined up because: Burnside is legendary. I can remember reading about the return of Burnside back when it was first announced in England and I couldn’t wait to see him again here in Australia. Then I saw Chris Ellison interviewed by Roy and HG on Club Norwich just after he returned to UK screens and they showed the scene where Bob Cryer books Burnside into Custody. Magic stuff! It was worth the wait.
Favourite Burnside
moment:
Ask me again when I’ve bought a VCR and refreshed my memory of Old Burnside by watching the Burnside Files.
About: I live in Melbourne, and have somehow managed to dropout of 2 degrees - Architecture (I have an appreciation for good design but little talent for it) and Law – and finish 2 others – Economics and an MA in Development Studies. I currently work for a university where I manage training programs for government officials from developing countries.
I’ve been watching The Bill since the late 80s (though I can’t seem to remember any character or episode from before mid-1991). A VCR is high on my list of things to buy now that I’ve finally found somewhere decent to live, so expect me to start calling in favours and asking to borrow tapes of old episodes (Memo: start doing favours for fellow forumers).
I am also a big fan of the American series Homicide: Life on the Streets and am still waiting for Channel 7 to screen the final series, which they promised would return in 2000 (and which screened in the non-AFL states a year ago!).
Other things I like: travelling; learning languages; listening to music, particularly Paul Kelly, Warren Zevon, Joe Jackson, Todd Snider and Leonard Cohen; playing the guitar badly; writing lousy songs; and walking to work through the Botanical Gardens watching the bats circle the trees. Dislikes: the Government’s refugee policy; people who profess to be fans of The Bill, but who ring me up in the middle of a Burnside episode or turn up at my door unannounced on a Tuesday night; and lots of other things, but I prefer not to think about things I don’t like.
Other: I really like toasted goat sandwiches with onions and green capsicums (or that other famous Tanzanian delicacy Chips Mayai – a hot chip omelette smothered in chilli sauce) washed down with an ice-cold bottle of blackcurrant Fanta.
Name: Kel
Rank: DC, FBI Agent 12
Joined up because: There has never been and there will never be, anyone quite like Burnside (although Boulton came close). He is unforgettable!
Favourite Burnside
moment:
When Burnside introduced a snout to a toilet bowl with a nervous Carver looking on.
About: Younger than Burnside, a born and bred Sydneysider, I love meeting new people, reading really good murder mysteries, comedies and science fiction, and spending time with my family. You could say I'm almost a full-time volunteer - Royal Volunteer Coastal Patrol, talking to school children about what it is like to have Spina Bifida and being in a wheelchair, fundraising for charity and a few more things - and I have a paid job as well. My musical tastes vary from 50s and 60s rock 'n' roll to Men At Work, John Farnham, Kylie, Backstreet Boys, jazz, and Tchaikovsky, Beethoven and Strauss when in the mood. Hate racism and those who underestimate the intelligence of people with a disability.
Other: Nothing is impossible, just challenging and character building! Everyone is equal until they show you otherwise! We can do sitting down almost anything those standing can!
Name: Jamie
Rank: DC, FBI Agent 13
Joined up because: Along with Bob Cryer, Burnside *is* the Bill. He was one of the most rounded and realistic characters they ever had, and many a happy time was spent when he dominated CID.
Favourite Burnside
moment:
It's the subtler things that stay in my mind. Like the way he calmly listens to a drunken Sam Philips pour out her life story, then calmly tells her her handbags been nicked, or the involuntary twitch he gets in the corner of his eye when ever Reg Hollis is talking to him.
About: My life is based on a true story apparently. I love a woman with a cheeky smile: Jane Wall, Cameron Diaz, Samantha Mumba. *sigh*
Other: Errm, what else? Never applaude the plastic baby.
Name: Laurab
Rank: DC, FBI Agent 14
Joined up because: I love Burnside's wit, his cynicism (why that is I don't know, other than that I tend to be quite cynical myself at times). I love his honesty, and of course, his rarely seen softer side.
Favourite Burnside
moment:
I don't think I can make a choice. Any Burnside episodes - especially earlier ones.
About: I'm a 16 year old from Melbourne. I love The Bill (I've been watching it for as long as I can remember), and my favourite character besides Burnside is DS Boulton. I also love AFL - "CARN THE HAWKS!!!", and I like drawing, photography and anything that involves the outdoors and adventure. As for school - I'm in year 11, doing mainly maths/science subjects, my favourite being biology.
Other: A couple of my favourite quotes: "Love your enemy- it will drive him crazy" and "Tact: the art of telling someone to go to hell in such a manner that he anticipates the trip."
Name: Hussein
Rank: DC, FBI Agent 15
All Hussein's juicy details are coming to this space soon, very soon.

Joined up because: Well, the eyes... ;) and also the way he ran the investigation when Jim was accused of murder.
Favourite Burnside

Him asking Jim what had happend to the kid...
About: Dege hails from Northern Ireland. Her likes include "fan fic reading and writing, watching and rewatching The Bill, chatting on the forum, ICQ etc... writing any kind of story... chatting to my mates, sailing (manic sailor) and lots of other things..."
Other: Bring back Frank as a regular cast member!!!
Name: Loz
Rank: DC, FBI Agent 17
Joined up because: Burnside rulz! There will never be another person like him, although John Boulton came close. And also cos the FBI has an awesome sign off!!
Favourite Burnside
moment:
Anything with him in it!! I loved the episodes 'Hot Money' and 'Angel' - legendary. My fave parts in 'Hot Money' are when he's getting up Gary and Duncan outside the casino in the car... "I sent you lot a memo!", and when he caught Kerry getting dressed in the locker room... LOL. And my fave parts in 'Angel' are when Claire and Burnside are in the pub... "What’s wrong with your dad? Isn't he having a good time? Not been molested or anything I hope?"
"Have a look around. Do you notice anyone else with a fat lip?" Classic!
About: I'm fourteen year old girl in grade 10, Brisbane, Australia. I love the beach, movies, hanging out with friends, listening to music, sports, especially netball and swimming, and of course, TB and Burnside. I also watch Always Greener and the Gilmore Girls. My fave TB characters are: Burnside (of course), Boulton, Claire, Kerry, Smiffy and Daly.
Other: My fave quote: "Dream as if you'll live forever, live as if you'll die today." - James Dean. And of course.... "you're nicked, you slaaag!!!"
