Folks, meet Matthew, he's six and unlucky for him I spied him riding this toy police trike (a la Chris in his Toys 'R' Us advertisement - see Evidence) near my house on International Burnside Day. 

A-ha, said I, this presents a perfect opportunity to introduce a young one to that legend of the small screen, DCI Burnside. So I dragged out the International Burnside Day flier and got him to pose for this pic.  Matthew took two things away from our meeting - a concise history of Frank Burnside's best arrests and a handful of my money. ;)
